Motorcycle Finance FAQs
How do I apply for motorcycle finance?
The quickest and easiest way to apply for motorcycle finance is by using our online form here which will only take a few minutes to complete. If you prefer to do it over the phone, give the team a call.
How much can I borrow for a motorcycle?
You can ask for a loan to cover the cost of your motorcycle; the minimum sum you can apply for is £1,000, the maximum amount is £50,000. In all cases, the final amount you're able to borrow will be based on your personal circumstances and an assessment of your ability to repay the loan over the time agreed.
Does the finance come from you?
No, as independent and impartial finance brokers we arrange the motorcycle finance for you by sourcing a loan from our network of leading UK lenders. Our aim is to find the most competitive deal on your behalf so you don't have to spend hours searching the market and making multiple applications.
How long does arranging motorcycle finance take?
Once you've filled in and submitted your application you should hear back from us soon – typically in less than an hour. We'll run through the application with you and also liaise with the loan company. The paperwork can be completed in a few hours, although this will depend on whether the lender wants to see some more documentation from you, and just how quickly you can send it to us. From first contact through to the point where your motorcycle finance is in place and you're able to proceed with your purchase usually takes up to four days.
How much are your fees?
Our services for arranging motorcycle finance on your behalf do not incur a fee. Any fees we do earn come in the form of a commission direct from the loan company.
What's the lower age limit for applying for motorcycle finance?
To qualify for motorcycle finance, you should be at least 18.
Do you check my credit rating?
Lenders in the UK will always check your credit score although you can still apply for motorcycle finance even if you have been refused a loan previously. On occasion, we also carry out a quick check, although this will not appear in your credit history and is only to help us tailor our search for a suitable lender.
Will I have to provide any documents?
You can expect to be asked to provide documents that show proof of your earnings and also proof of where you live. Some lenders may also ask to see a copy of your motorcycle licence. Once you've submitted your application, we'll run through everything with you in more detail.
What kind of licence do I need?
You need a licence to be able to ride a motorcycle on UK roads and restrictions may apply, depending on your age and the engine capacity of the motorcycle. This could have some bearing on your eligibility for a loan. If you're unsure on anything, please contact us.
